Dark Goddesses & The Law of Attraction
The suppressed aspects within the modern feminine psyche
The Dark Goddesses—figures like Hekate, Kali, Lilith, Medusa, and Persephone. These are not simply malevolent or disobedient women, as our patriarchal systems tend to portray; they are the suppressed aspects within the modern feminine psyche.
They are the sacred initiators.
They tear down illusions, demand authenticity, and insist that what has been repressed be brought to light.
They do not punish, they purify.
They are not the cause of your comfort, yet your power to transmute energy.
Their medicine is fierce and speaks a language of wholeness through the aspects we have been forced to suppress, especially in Western culture (the U.S., more specifically).
They are in part the function of transmutation… the part of us that is equipped to move beyond survival and unleash the golden gems buried within psyche and soma (body).
The dark goddesses are not darkness in itself, and they are far from what we typically like to call evil… In fact, it is darkness that they know how to devour and transform.
The dark goddesses illuminate the places we have hidden from ourselves.
Each dark goddess embodies a different aspect of the feminine shadow: rage, death, sexuality, wildness, sovereignty, the sacred mysteries of the womb, and the liberation that comes from facing what we fear most.
And guess what?
If you are a lover of the Law of Attraction, especially the divine channelings offered by Abraham through Esther Hicks, you might be surprised to hear how working with the dark goddesses can amplify your efforts.
Abraham would say, “that which is like unto itself is drawn, and the emotional tone of our inner world becomes the magnet for our outer experience”.
Many interpret this teaching as “focus on the light, avoid the dark,” but this is a complete departure from its deeper current. Abraham does not warn against contrast—they honor it. In fact, contrast is necessary for clarity, desire, and expansion.
The Dark Goddesses are the various embodiments of contrast.
Kali might present as a surge of adrenaline, heat in the chest and belly, and spontaneous shaking or movement—a fight response reclaimed as sacred.
Lilith might present as tension in the pelvis, sacral contractions, a shaky sensation that signals resistance as one begins to recognize they are unconsciously being tamed.
Persephone might present as numbness, grief, heaviness in the heart or womb. A pull inward that causes one to move downward into the depths.
The dark goddess rules the thresholds within the body but also in the psychic field…the vortex Abraham speaks of, the potent and energetically charged place space where preferences are born—not because we should bypass the pain but because pain cracks open the seed of new desire.
The discomfort of her presence is not misalignment, but invitation—to align more deeply with your truest self.
She is the anima in her chthonic form, drawing us into confrontation with the shadow so we may become whole.
In the words of Abraham, “your inner being is always calling you toward alignment”.
Sometimes that call requires we burn through layers of the false self, the conditioning we wear on our bodies, the pleasing persona.
The Dark Goddesses transmute all that blocks the path in service to the soul. This destruction is creation—the Law of Attraction’s alignment through the release of resistance.
The body is not separate from the soul—it is the vessel that holds the unconscious.
In this light, the nervous system is a sacred threshold, a place where trauma, memory, emotions, and the archetypal energies of the dark goddesses are at work within us.
When a woman seeks to reclaim her power through the dark goddess, she is often unwinding years of suppression—of her voice, her desire, her rage, and her knowing.
To detect these goddesses within the psyche, we feel safe as we awaken our instincts, recover our truths, and listen to what has been stored in the nervous system.
This process can be erotic, terrifying, liberating—and yes… holy.
Where many seek only light, the ones who live in the depths know: you cannot magnetize true abundance or prosperity while disowning your shadow.
You may manifest surface-level things, yes, but they won’t stick—because unintegrated shadow leaks energy.
The Dark Goddess demands that you retrieve your soul from all the places you abandoned it. She is the sacred fire beneath Abraham’s teaching—transforming resistance into radiance.
To walk the path of the Dark Goddess is to visit the underworld, not to die, but to remember who you are.
And from that place of remembrance, your vibration becomes unshakable.
You are no longer attracting from lack or fear, but from soul-sovereignty.
The Dark Goddesses offer the shadow work that makes the Law of Attraction sustainable.
They are alchemists, ensuring that what you draw toward you is in reverence and service to the soul, not the ego.
